Our Prayer life is a call to an enduring and personal union with God. Grace enables us to be in His presence and to cooperate with the Holy Spirit who transforms us into the likeness of Jesus and enables us to live the Gospel way of life.
Communal and personal prayer are essential to our deepening relationship with the Triune God. Conscious of its importance in our lives, we devote ourselves to it generously and faithfully.
The celebration of the Eucharist, our primary communal prayer, is central to our life in the Spirit. Here we daily encounter the death and resurrection of our Lord who nourishes us with His own Body and Blood and unites us more deeply with Himself and with one another.
In union with the Church, which ceaselessly praises the Lord and intercedes for the world, we communally pray the Liturgy of the Hours.
To deepen our life in the Spirit, we give priority to daily contemplative prayer.
Prayerful reading of Scripture, especially the Gospels, helps us to become permeated with the attitudes and dispositions of Jesus.
For the Holy Spirit to take full possession of our lives, we recognize our need for interior silence and solitude, spiritual reading, self-denial, and communal days of retreat. We make an annual retreat of at least five days.
Please join us in praying for vocations during our 95th anniversay year.
GOD OUR FATHER
I understand that You have
raised Your Son Jesus from
the dead and made Him
Shepherd of all Your Church.
I ask You to make Your
Church responsive to His call,
so that new vocations will be
attracted to lives of dedication
and service. I ask this in faith
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
