As our community name indicates, commitment to spiritual renewal has always been a part of our ministry. We were among the first communities in Pittsburgh to offer retreats for women at our motherhouse. In 1986, we transformed the building that once housed Holy Ghost High School for girls on our motherhouse property into a retreat center and formation house. Named after one of our former general superiors, the Martina Spiritual Renewal Center allows us to offer others the chance to "come apart and rest awhile." At the Martina Center many religious, professional and ecumenical groups have participated in workshops, retreats, and weekend events. We are most grateful for the opportunity to open our home once again to give witness to the Gospel and to the power of the Holy Spirit.
